Maribel Jackson began her real estate career working in new construction where she sold new homes with Standard Pacific for 10 years. She got her real estate license in 2006 and in 2013 decided to move into resale. It was during this transition that Maribel first met Mary Maloney and Hometown Realty. She loved the culture of the team and the ‘pay it forward’ philosophy that Hometown Realty represented so, when she had the opportunity to join the team, she jumped on it.
Ultimately, Maribel loves real estate because of how it helps people shape their lives. Her first job was working as a receptionist in a Prudential office and she later met her husband, a construction manager, while working for the same builder. So, you can definitely say real estate has always been a big part of her life.
Maribel originally grew up in Norwalk, near Los Angeles. She later met her husband in Irvine and they eventually made their way to San Diego. She loved where she grew up, but now can’t imagine living anywhere else. She loves the people, the vibe and the lifestyle of San Diego, which she now calls “home”.
People love working with Maribel because of her sincerity. She genuinely cares for people and that comes across loud and clear when interacting with her. Because she grew up in an impoverished area, Maribel understands the role homeownership has in shaping people’s lives and loves helping families achieve that goal.
When she isn’t working with clients, Maribel is soaking up some family time with her husband Chris and their 1 year old daughter Alexa. Also, when time permits, she enjoys going to the beach, exploring new restaurants, or stepping out for some fresh air and going for a hike and getting some fresh air. Maribel is active at her church and enjoys volunteering immensely.
During her career with new construction, Maribel often worked with luxury, high-end properties and clients. In resale, she has loved the contrast of working with first-time homebuyers and helping them position themselves and then go through the whole process of securing their first home. It’s something that makes her incredibly proud.
Maribel’s passion for helping others and building trust makes her a valuable part of the Hometown Realty team.
