Neighborhoods
San Elijo Hills is made up of a collection of different neighborhoods that are centered around a shared Town Center. The San Elijo Hills Town Center has its own Chevron station, Albertsons grocery store and pharmacy. The main street is lined with small shops – including a dentist office, art studio, pottery place, yoga studio, pizza place, yogurt shop, wine bar & bistro, drycleaners and nail salon. Several work/live units line the town square providing residents the convenience of a variety of services very close to home.
Schools
San Elijo Hills houses a variety of education programs ranging from toddler to early teen. Pacific Preschool is an early education program for children from ages 18 months through Kindergarten that sits right in the town center. There is also a preschool program offered by the City of San Marcos at the recreation center at San Elijo Hills Park.
San Elijo Hills is also home to two of the largest schools in San Marcos Unified School District: San Elijo Elementary School and San Elijo Middle School. Also opening in 2016 is Double Peak K-8 School.
Many families enjoy walking to school each day with friends and neighbors and the schools offer a variety of community events – from a Country Fair to sports, movie nights and more.

Neighborhood Spotlight – Epoch Wine & Beer Kitchen
A favorite spot in the middle of the Town Center at San Elijo Hills is Epoch Wine & Beer Kitchen. Owned by a couple of childhood friends, Epoch is the perfect place to meet up with a neighbor or to bump into someone you haven’t seen in a while. They offer a wide variety of wines and also feature several local craft beers on tap. The menu features several appetizers, flatbreads, salads and soups making it a popular spot to unwind and relax.
